This pre-moisturizing serum replenishes skin with an invisible coating of sphingolipids and ceramides to trap in moisture and protect from environmental harm.  Laboratory testing reveals an increase in skin moisturization sustained for 6 hours after a single application.  After 14 days, skin smoothness increases by 55%, skin hydration increased by 47% and the appearance of fine lines decreased by 15%.

Have you ever felt a baby's skin and then your own?  One of the most noticeable differences is the loss of skin smoothness due to aging.  Young healthy skin is rich in substances that act like plastic wrap to trap in skin's natural moisture.

Skin is composed of three layers:  Epidermis (top layer); Dermis (middle layer); Subcutaneous (fat layer)

Skin texture depends on the condition of the upper most portion of the epidermis, called the "Stratum Corneum".  Although the Stratum Corneum is made up of dead cells, it serves two important functions:  Protection from the environment and trapping moisture in the skin.  The Stratum Corneum acts as a barrier to protect our skin against water loss.

Young skin has the healthiest Stratum Corneum.  It has large and chemically complex molecules called lipids.  They act to trap the skin's naturally high water content.  Three types of lipids are present in the Stratum Corneum: Sphingolipids, Ceramides and Cholesterol.

As we age, the dead cell layer of the Stratum Corneum thickens, while the lipid content decreases.  These changes result in a dull, lackluster and often rough skin surface.  Many people use exfoliating agents to remove this dull appearance.  Unfortunately, this also strips the skin of the moisture trapping lipids of the Stratum Corneum.  That is why exfoliation can result in skin drying out.  After prolonged exfoliation, the skin may become drier and fine lines may appear accentuated.

Our Lipid Drops:  An advanced scientific technique, called biofermentation, makes it possible to reproduce these lipid molecules.  Our Lipid Drops are a combination of  Sphingolipids, Ceramides and Cholesterol blended in a quick-absorbing base.  Use of Lipid Drops effectively hydrates the skin surface and gives the skin a smoother appearance and texture.  Lipid Drops should be used twice daily as a pre-moisturizer.  They effectively replenish the skin's natural supply of lipids, are excellent for all skin types and will not clog pores.
